In Fall 2006, I enthusiastically began my role as Director of MLBS. My family and I are looking forward to the adventures that await us at the station. I expect many challenges as we try to preserve the best of the past traditions that have made MLBS a special place, but simultaneously move forward to provide for an ever growing and changing community of researchers and students. I hope you find the time to join us at the top of the mountain to do science and have fun.
