Annual Events Summer Seminar Series –During May, June and July local and nationally invited scientists present research seminars to the station community and other interested in attending. Please see the calendar or contact the station for current schedule. Walton Lecture Series – Each summer a prominent biologist is invited to the station for several days of discussion and interaction with students and researchers. The visit is highlighted by the evening Walton Lecture and its festive reception. The series is supported by an endowment to the station by Mr. Miles and Mrs. Ruth Horton of Giles County in honor of the well remembered and loved “Walton sisters” who contributed so much to station life, learning, and science in their many years here.
